Brief
With the end of their incumbent contract catering imminent, Holland and Barrett needed an immediate solution to their impending potential problem. Requiring us to have a plan in place to feed 200+ shift workers, daily, for 4 months, until a new contract catering solution was found; this is how we turned things around in 6 days.
Solution
The solution process started way before the enquiry itself came in. As part of our onboarding process, we carry out a thorough assessment on all of our caterers and award the Catering Excellence Benchmark to those that excel. We do this so that you have the confidence that the food quality, high level of customer service, and compliance are all matters of formality.
Upon receiving the initial enquiry, we knew it was important to gather as much detail as possible from the discovery call so that we could provide an accurate quote for the catering services, per day. Within a matter of days, a meeting was arranged to dig into the specifics and logistics of exactly what was needed to turn this around in such a tight timeframe.
Within the 6 day deadline, we managed to:
Create a monthly calendar of the catering activity on site so that the management team knew, in advance, who and what cuisine was coming to site, so that they could plan and let their workforce know.
Assess the caterers for suitability, then book and confirm a rotating roster. We were then with our caterers every step of the way, to ensure a smooth transition period for the client, including physically being on site for the first day of any new caterer.
Manage the onboarding of caterers and personnel onto their internal compliance system, which included training videos and an hour long assessment before attending site.
