Brief
After a successful Employee Engagement celebration for 200 members of staff, this client was keen to have our assistance with their extended Bonfire Night celebration. We were tasked with providing specific food and drink provisions for 1,000 people to be served, outside, in 90 minutes; this is what we did.
Solution
The solution process started way before the enquiry itself came in. As part of our onboarding process, we carry out a thorough assessment on all of our caterers and award the Catering Excellence Benchmark to those that excel. We do this so that you have the confidence that the food quality, high level of customer service, and compliance are all matters of formality.
Upon receiving the initial enquiry, we knew it was important to gather as much information as possible from the discovery call so that we could provide an accurate quote for the event. From our experience working in the industry, we know that the best way to serve a high number of staff in a short time frame is to have multiple ‘serving points’. The best way to achieve this for our client was to offer a variety of food options, served by multiple caterers.
To ensure a smooth running of the event, it was essential that we had a number of Event Managers on location, to welcome the caterers on site, and managing expectations by constantly checking in with the caterers as their portions ran low, so that it could be communicated to the queues that had formed.
In the end, we managed to:
Supply 7 caterers from within the Caterly Community, including: Rotisserie chicken, Homemade Pies, Vegan Loaded Fries, Hot Dogs, Smashed Burgers, Fish & Chips, and a Mobile cafe.
Ensure everyone was fed and had drink provisions, within the 90 minute period
Deliver a highly successful event with a number of staff thanking us for organising their best ever Bonfire Night Experience
