You ask, we answer...

Why it’s important to choose your own wedding caterer

When planning a wedding, you want to ensure your guests will have the thyme of their lives in celebration with you and your partner. That’s why getting the catering right is so important.

Wedding catering is a key element of the wedding experience, but it can soon feel overwhelming. There are so many things that need to be considered like price, cuisine choice and quantity. You don’t want your guests going hungry, but you equally don’t want to be left with piles of food to spare.

You wouldn’t wait until the last minute to find your wedding dress, choose your groomsmen or send out the invites, and the same goes for your catering on the big day.

The perks of hiring your own wedding caterer

Most people find the thought of catering for their own wedding to be a daunting task. That’s why choosing a wedding catering agency takes one less thing off your plate.

1.

DI-WHY?

Some of us are born culinary geniuses with a knack for pairing flavours and creating delicious meals, who can DIY their way through life’s big events and milestones. But let’s be honest, most of us would rather let an expert do the heavy lifting, especially for something as important as your wedding day. Hand picking your own caterer for your special day means you can still have control of what cuisine is serviced and, more important, you will be supporting a local independent caterer who pours more love, care and passion into their food than an in-house caterer ever will. Sounds like a dream to us.

2.

Perfect presentation

Presentation is everything. You want your guests to have their taste buds tingling before the very first bite of food and the best way to ensure that happens is to leave it to the pros. No matter if you opt for street food style, or a sit down meal from a set menu, our local, independent, expert caterers will always endeavour to create the most exquisitely presented food.

3.

No anxiety about the variety

The last thing you want to worry about on the big day is whether or not your guests are going to like the food being served. With so many food intolerances, allergies, and general fussiness, you’ll struggle to please every palate if you do the catering on your own. Handing the mantle over to a catering company who knows exactly how to handle things by being prepared to serve a range of dishes to suit everyone gives you and your partner one less thing to worry about.

Easy ways to find a wedding caterer

Wedding planning in general is an exciting yet nerve-wracking time and it’s easy to feel cautious about your wedding catering choice, even if you’ve put months of research and thought behind finding the perfect company. From the wedding breakfast to the wedding cake, the mobile bar to the evening reception food, the catering at your wedding could make or break your day. Often it is that one thing that makes a good wedding great or an average wedding poor.

Luckily, companies like Caterly can supply the ideal caterers for your specific needs and wants with the assurance that they’ll provide high quality and delicious food and drink.
