NCASS (the Nationwide Caterers Association) was founded by mobile caterers and is the only membership organisation that supports independent hospitality businesses across the UK. For over 30 years, NCASS has been raising the profile of street food, event caterers, festival traders and small independent bricks and mortar food & drink businesses.

NCASS understand that legal compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements can be daunting – they take the stress out of it and help you achieve the highest standards possible.
The NCASS Safety Management System has been developed to assist food and drink businesses to comply with and exceed the operational / technical requirements for Food Safety and Hygiene, Health and Safety (H&S) and Fire Safety. Following the processes set out in the NCASS system is the most efficient way to regulate Food Safety and Health & Safety within your business. The safety management system comes with an online risk assessment system that can be accessed using your dashboard, daily recording diary and a wealth of online resources. NCASS offers three levels of food hygiene certificates: Level 1 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 3 Food Hygiene certificates. Our food hygiene and safety online training courses are all triple-accredited and highly recognised throughout the catering industry. As well as food hygiene training, NCASS offers a range of courses to support you and your team including the NCASS Allergen Awareness course and Safe use of LPG.
There is a member only resource area that can be accessed via the member area and all members receive a weekly members e-mailer as well as a printed magazine throughout the year. Government: Working with Government means that they are ahead of the curve when it comes to changes that could affect our members and most importantly, they are able to protect your interests through advocacy, regularly relaying information and being part of consultations on policy and legislation changes that affect members.

Enforcement: EHOs and Local Authority departments across the UK trust NCASS to promote best practice and make their jobs as easy as possible when it comes to inspections and getting the information they need.
Primary Authority: NCASS has a Primary Authority (PA) partnership with The Royal Borough of Greenwich and in Wales, Monmouthshire County Council. Primary Authority is a government-backed scheme. NCASS work with PA partners so that the sector specific advice guidance and resources we create for you, our members, is assured – assured here means that it has been approved by our PA partners and is recognised by EHOs. Your NCASS safety management system, for example, is assured by the scheme; this means that it is recognised by other EHOs, and Local Authorities.
